Hello. When I first began using my dell laptop (specs below) my screen would always be black (never to wake up without reboot) when I returned to it after the screen went to sleep.

Installing the new drivers has mostly alleviated this problem, however nowadays I still get stuck with the black screen any time I try to wake the computer up AND I have my external Samsung monitor connected to the HDMI port.

 

Is anyone else having this issue, or is there a fix on the way possibly? Thanks for any info!

 

System:

Dell 7000 laptop

Intel core i5 4200U CPU @ 1.6 GHz

8GB Ram

64 bit Windows 8.1

Intel HD Graphics family driver 10.18.10.3621
