Hello there,
I just want to follow on from what so many posters are saying in this discussion. I recently purchased a DCCP847DYE NUC for trialing and am experiencing similar HDMI issues. Firstly, the Yamaha RX-V1700 receiver has to be switched on at boot time for the NUC to detect it. If the receiver is switched on after the NUC boots there is no HDMI detected by the receiver which does actively search for a device on its inputs. Does the NUC not actively poll?
Each and every Audio Visual device I have experience with can handshake 'on the fly' regardless of which comes online first. Despite the NUC being otherwise perfect for the application I am trialing it for, this issue of the unit being blind to devices coming online on its HDMI interface after boot, is a serious disappointment.
I can only hope that a BIOS firmware update can come sooner rather than later to put this issue to rest. I emphasise a BIOS level fix as I like many others here are running it using custom OS software and OS level driver updates would not be of any benefit to us. I really like and want to use this unit but this is a deal breaker.
Regards,
Bob
