Kevin, I contacted the manufacturer and confirmed that the firmware on our Pioneer KRP 500M HDTVs is the most current firmware. In any event, how could this be a TV firmware issue, when there are a good number of people with this issue, all with different brands of TVs, and WIDI worked previously for several of them until the WIDI software and Intel drivers were updated?
One thing I have noted in relation to people who have questions about this freezing issue in Intel Community forums is that most, if not all, of them seem to be running Win 7 rather than Win 8. Is it possible that there could be a compatibility issue with Win 7 or Win 7 SP1?
